Schmooze Young Professional Group

The SYPG is a network open to all young professionals and students in their 20’s from any field in the ACT region.

We offer a welcoming and relaxed way for young professionals to meet new contacts from all backgrounds and careers, providing the opportunity for our members to form valuable connections and develop the skills necessary to excel in the professional arena.

The SYPG also allows young professionals to gain the confidence and skills to enable them to seamlessly transition to attending wider networking events such as Schmooze Professional Network events and lunches. Unlike many of the industry bodies and societies present in the region, we offer a relaxed, yet classy way for young professionals to connect by holding monthly networking events at various prestigious venues around Canberra.

For organisations and government departments, the SYPG offers an opportunity for investing in younger professionals to enhance their confidence, interpersonal skills and cultivating new contacts throughout the Canberra region’s young professional community.

Each event enables our members to meet others in an informal setting, raise their individual profiles, and develop both personally and professionally by gaining advice regarding career skills from experts.IOur events also provide the perfect setting for honing networking skills with your peers.

We also hold events in partnership with other ACT young professional groups to broaden the opportunities for our members & organisations to make new friends and develop further contacts.

You have to be a member or a guest of one to attend our events, but its only $15 a month to join (less if you are a full-time student) and you get lots of benefits including free entry, drinks and access to lots of other activities, mentoring and special offers! Members of the Schmooze Professional Network can send their younger staff to SYPG events using their member Passes.
