Our EventsWe offer a range of social and professional development events and most of our events are open to members and non members. Members enjoy free entry to Schmooze hosted events and guests may purchase a Guest Pass. The program is constantly expanding and involving, and we also promote the events of our members. We also create events and groups in response to the interests and suggestions of our members. Quick Links
The Monthly SchmoozeThis is our monthly flagship networking evening. It is well attended by 80-120 members and guests from a wide range of professions and sectors. The atmosphere is light and welcoming, perfect for cultivating new professional relationships. These events feature live music, some of the best venues in town (including galleries and special venues only Schmooze gets access to), and our staff are on hard to introduce you about. In short, they don't feel like your typical business function! They are held on the last Wednesday of the month from 5.30 to 7.30pm and you can see footage of past events here on Schmooze TV. See our events calendar for the next Monthly Schmooze. The Schmooze Young Professional Group Events (SYPG)These events are open to anyone under 30, and each month features leading young professionals and entrepreneurs who share their insights on a particular theme Our format of events are unique and are designed to be personalised and thought provoking. The SYPG Council welcomes everyone and ensures they are introduced and included in the discussions that follow the presentations. The evenings also include informal networking that attracts young professionals from all backgrounds and sectors. You can choose just the events that interest you and attend on a casual basis (and pay at the door), or better still become a member and attend for free! See our events calendar for the next SYPG event and the program for the year here. Networking lunches or dinnersThese are member only events and include wine dinners, tables at the National Press Club lunch addresses and member hosted events. Some of the events are invitation only and are not advertised widely, or are ad hoc events taking place after the monthly Schmooze, but please see our events calendar for upcoming lunch or dinner events. Professional Development WorkshopsWe offer monthly workshops for up to 20 participants that provide practical insights that participants can apply in their professional lives. Designed to be small gatherings of no more than 8 participants, these special interest groups allow members to meet informally to discuss a particular topic of common interest often suggested by members in advance.
